I would like to thank each of you who joined with us to make history in the Third Congressional District primary.

I cannot thank you enough for your support – whether it took the form of hours, dollars or votes.  The genius of this campaign could be found at the grass roots level – where more than a thousand people walked neighborhoods, made phone calls, hung signs and stood on street corners to promote this campaign.  I’m honored by your efforts.

I want to recognize Chris Cannon and his family for their deep commitment and patriotism.  Although we disagreed on issues, there is no doubting his dedication and service to the State of Utah.  I also wish to thank Joe Ferguson and David Leavitt for articulating important issues in this race that matter to all of us in the Republican Party.

Now is the time to unite the party behind core conservative principles.  The electorate has given us a mandate to stay true to those principles and return the Republican Party to the ideals of fiscal conservatism, limited government, accountability and strong national security.  Together we can work to defend the constitution, promote conservative principles, and address our most serious problems.

In recognition of your service to this campaign and to this nation, Julie and I invite you to join us at 7:00 pm, Saturday, June 28 at our home to celebrate your amazing effort.  Please feel free to bring your family. The home is located at 315 Westfield Circle in Alpine.  *Although the pool will be open, there will be no swimming at this event.  

We invite you to join us in the general election.  To volunteer, please visit my website at www.jasonforcongress.com.  If you have a Jason Chaffetz yard sign, we ask that you store it for a few months until we are ready to place signage again in the fall.  Many of you have been willing to help remove signs in your community.  Please contact Dell Smith at 592-0400 to find out where we will be storing signs for your area.  If you are in a position to store additional yard signs or 4x4 signs at your home, please call or e-mail Dell at dellsmith51@yahoo.com.  We can reduce our campaign costs by keeping signs in each community rather than trying to collect them and deliver them again in a few months.
